Judge Ana Reyes sentences Littlejohn to 5 years for leaking tax returns, the maximum allowed under the single-count indictment
U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes sentenced Charles Littlejohn to 60 months in federal prison, the statutory maximum for a single violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7213. Reyes called the leak an attack on democracy, rejecting Littlejohn's argument that he acted in the public interest. The sentence was among the longest ever imposed for a tax disclosure violation. Littlejohn had pleaded guilty in October 2023 and cooperated with investigators.
