Healey issues executive order to keep ICE out of state buildings and sensitive spaces

Gov. Maura Healey signed an executive order barring ICE civil arrests in non-public areas of state facilities and blocking new 287(g) agreements without a public-safety need, and filed legislation to keep ICE out of schools, hospitals, courthouses and churches. Her office called it the most comprehensive state effort in the country.
