Federal Judge Dismisses Comey and Letitia James Cases, Finding Lindsey Halligan Appointment Unlawful
The same ruling by Judge Cameron McGowan Currie that voided Lindsey Halligan's appointment also resulted in the permanent dismissal of charges against James Comey and Letitia James. Because the statute of limitations for the underlying offenses had expired by September 2025, the DOJ cannot re-indict. AG Bondi vowed an "immediate appeal." The dismissals were preceded five days earlier by DOJ's admission that the full grand jury never reviewed the final Comey indictment.
