Trump signs H.R. 5371, ending the 43-day shutdown

President Trump signed the funding bill the night of Nov. 12, ending the longest shutdown in U.S. history after the House passed it 222-209 and the Senate 60-40. The law, Public Law 119-37, funds most agencies through Jan. 30, 2026 but leaves out the ACA subsidies Democrats sought.
