Trump deploys border czar Tom Homan to Minnesota after two citizen killings

President Trump announced he was sending White House Border Czar Tom Homan to Minneapolis as the administration's primary on-the-ground contact, two days after Border Patrol agents fatally shot ICU nurse Alex Pretti and two weeks after ICE agents killed Renée Good. Homan's stated mission was to shift strategy and de-escalate tensions while maintaining immigration enforcement operations. Fox News had called for Homan to be deployed approximately 20 minutes before Trump announced the decision. CBP's Minneapolis field commander Jose Bovino was subsequently removed from his post.
