Trump lifts all sanctions on Venezuelan Foreign Minister Rodriguez, calls her "a terrific person"

President Trump signed an executive action lifting all Treasury OFAC sanctions on Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez, who remained the subject of an active DEA criminal file in Miami federal court. Trump described Rodriguez as "a terrific person" in public remarks, the same characterization he had used for other foreign officials whose legal exposure was resolved through diplomatic deals. The State Department simultaneously announced Venezuela had agreed to accept deportation flights of Venezuelan nationals from the United States.
