Whitney Ball Co-Founds Donors Trust as Conservative Donor-Advised Fund

Whitney Ball and Kim Dennis co-founded Donors Trust in 1999 in Alexandria, Virginia as a 501(c)(3) donor-advised fund to "safeguard the intent of libertarian and conservative donors." As a public charity, Donors Trust pools donor contributions and redirects them to recipient nonprofits without disclosing the original donor. The structure became the dominant channel for anonymous right-leaning political giving over the next two decades.
