Dao Yin is charged with wire fraud in public campaign-finance scheme

On June 13, 2025, federal prosecutors charged former New York Assembly candidate Dao Yin with wire fraud connected to New York City public campaign finance funds. Prosecutors alleged he submitted false information to obtain public matching money.
