Hundreds march against ICE and Flock surveillance cameras across East Bay on Valentines Day

Hundreds of protesters marched in Oakland, Concord, and other East Bay cities on Valentines Day in coordinated demonstrations against ICE immigration enforcement and Flock Safety license plate reader cameras. In Oakland, the march was called No Love for ICE and drew over 100 people near Lake Merritt. In Concord, the march was called Love Your Neighbor with Concord Mayor Laura Nakamura addressing the crowd. Protesters focused on city contracts with Flock Safety and the company data-sharing practices with ICE following The 74 investigation days earlier.
