Dudek's Social Security Administration completes nationwide rollout of HeaRT AI hearing-transcription system

The Social Security Administration completed the nationwide rollout of its Hearing Recording and Transcriptions system, called HeaRT, on March 17, 2025. The tool uses generative AI to transcribe disability hearings and replaces aging recording hardware. The agency projected savings of about $5 million a year across roughly 500,000 hearings.
