Supreme Court unanimously dismisses Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine mifepristone challenge
In FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, the Supreme Court voted 9-0 to dismiss a pro-life doctors group challenge to mifepristone dispensing rules, ruling the doctors lacked Article III standing because they couldn't show personal injury. Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote that legal, moral, ideological, and policy objections don't confer standing. The ruling cleared the way for Louisiana AG Liz Murrill to refile using state sovereign standing instead.
