NuScale submits 77-MWe US460 Standard Design Approval application to NRC

NuScale Power filed its Standard Design Approval application for the uprated 77-megawatt-electric US460 reactor module with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on New Year's Day 2023. The application sought NRC staff confirmation that the design meets applicable safety requirements under 10 CFR Part 52 Subpart E. The NRC accepted the application for review in July 2023, beginning a 22-month technical review.
