Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed
The US, Iran, and five other nations sign the JCPOA, a landmark nuclear agreement requiring Iran to cap uranium enrichment at 3.67%, maintain a stockpile of no more than 300kg of low-enriched uranium, and allow IAEA inspections. The deal represents six years of intensive diplomacy and appears to resolve a decade-long standoff over Iran's nuclear program.
