Nevada AG charges Michael McDonald in the false-elector case
Attorney General Aaron Ford said Nevada indicted Michael McDonald in the false-elector case. Ford said the six defendants falsely portrayed themselves as Nevada presidential electors after the 2020 election. The indictment charged the defendants with offering a false instrument for filing. It also charged uttering a forged instrument over documents titled "Certificate of the Votes of the 2020 Electors from Nevada." A Clark County judge later dismissed the indictment on venue grounds, but the Nevada Supreme Court reversed and remanded on November 13, 2025. The charges remain allegations, and Michael McDonald is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
