Federal judge restricts DOGE access to Treasury payment systems with TRO

U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer issued a temporary restraining order restricting DOGE team access to Treasury payment systems following an emergency lawsuit by labor unions. The judge cited risks to sensitive personal data and noted that without addressing these security issues, "the potential consequences could be catastrophic."
