House Appropriations Committee releases FY2027 USDA budget proposal

The House Appropriations Committee released its FY2027 budget proposal for USDA on April 3, 2026, proposing $983.2 million for Section 502 direct loans (reversing prior proposals to defund it) while increasing guaranteed lending and rental assistance.
