Vance Meets Families of Gaza Hostages in Jerusalem

Vice President JD Vance met with Israeli families of hostages held in Gaza on Oct. 22, 2025, in Jerusalem. Approximately 100 hostages remained in Gaza as of October 2025 following the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack; the families' meeting was part of sustained U.S. diplomatic pressure aimed at securing a ceasefire deal that would include the release of remaining Israeli and American captives.
