Senate confirms Hermandorfer as Trump's first appeals-court judge of his second term

The Senate confirmed Whitney Hermandorfer, a Tennessee lawyer, to the Sixth Circuit by a 46-42 vote, making her the first appeals-court judge of Trump's second term. The seat sat on the same court where Biden's nominee Karla Campbell had been denied a vote in the November 2024 deal. Trump's first six circuit nominees averaged about 42 years old.
