Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in federal prison

A federal judge sentenced Ghislaine Maxwell to 20 years in prison after her conviction for helping Jeffrey Epstein recruit and exploit minors. Maxwell had been convicted in December 2021 on five counts. The sentence left Maxwell as the central living defendant punished in federal court while public scrutiny continued around other people and institutions connected to Epstein.
