Michael Cohen pleads guilty to campaign-finance violations tied to 2016 election

On Aug. 21, 2018, Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to campaign-finance violations and other crimes. He said he arranged payments to two women at the direction of a candidate to influence the 2016 presidential election.
