Rep. Angie Craig assaulted in Washington apartment elevator

Rep. Angie Craig was assaulted in the elevator of her Washington, D.C. apartment building and suffered bruising before defending herself and calling 911. Her office and law enforcement said there was no evidence the attack was politically motivated, but the case was prosecuted as an assault on a member of Congress and is included as politician-targeted violence with that caveat.
