Gunman kills Melissa Hortman and wounds John Hoffman in targeted attacks on Minnesota lawmakers

Vance Boelter allegedly carried out targeted shootings at the homes of Minnesota Democratic lawmakers, killing House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman and shooting State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette Hoffman. Federal prosecutors said Boelter disguised himself as law enforcement and enacted a calculated plan to inflict fear and violence on elected officials and their families.
