Bannon convicted of contempt of Congress on two counts

A federal jury convicted Steve Bannon on two counts of contempt of Congress (2 U.S.C. § 192) for defying a House Select Committee subpoena for documents and testimony related to the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols presided. Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison and a $6,500 fine.
