Hemp Ban Hidden in Government Shutdown Deal Threatens to Wipe Out $28 Billion Industry

Congress buried a provision in the shutdown deal criminalizing hemp products containing more than 0.4 mg of total THC per container — a threshold industry executives said would eliminate 95% of the $28 billion hemp retail market.
