Georgia marks Apalachee anniversary without passing gun legislation

On the first anniversary of the Apalachee High School shooting, Georgia Democrats held a press conference at the state capitol calling for safe storage legislation, joined by survivors and families of victims. Republican legislative leaders did not attend and made no commitments on gun legislation. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that political positions on firearms remained unchanged from the day of the shooting one year earlier.
