Data Center Watch reports $98 billion in projects blocked or delayed in a single quarter

NBC News reported a Data Center Watch study finding that local and political opposition blocked or delayed 20 data center projects worth about $98 billion between late March and June 2025, more than the group had tracked across the previous two years combined. The report documented a 125% surge in opposition and 188 grassroots groups nationwide.
