Nadia Lizarraga-Mayorquin is sentenced in the San Luis ballot-collection case
Yuma County Superior Court sentenced Nadia Guadalupe Lizarraga-Mayorquin, also known as Nadia Buchanan, to two years of supervised probation and a $2,500 fine. The Arizona Attorney General disposition log says Lizarraga-Mayorquin admitted collecting seven early ballots from other voters and turning them over to Gloria Lopez Torres during the August 4, 2020 San Luis municipal primary. KYMA reported that Lizarraga-Mayorquin pleaded guilty to one amended misdemeanor count of ballot abuse before the March 10 sentence. The case documents the handoff that prosecutors said moved ballots outside Arizona's allowed collector list.
