John Durnell files Roundup failure-to-warn lawsuit in Missouri

John Durnell, a St. Louis resident who developed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma after using Roundup on a communal garden in the Soulard neighborhood starting in 1996, filed a failure-to-warn lawsuit against Monsanto in Missouri state court in 2019. He alleged Monsanto knew about cancer risks from glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, and failed to warn users. The lawsuit joined tens of thousands of similar claims filed nationally after IARC's 2015 "probably carcinogenic" classification of glyphosate.
