DHS proposes rule to undo the 2022 public charge definition

The Department of Homeland Security proposed a rule to rescind the Biden administration's 2022 public charge definition, a regulatory track running parallel to Rubio's cable. The proposal would give officers more discretion and could let them count health, nutrition and housing program use against applicants. Unlike the cable, the rule must take public comment before it can take effect.
