Georgia Safe Storage Bill Stalls as Legislature Reconvenes

Georgia lawmakers returned to the state capitol in January 2025 with advocates calling for a safe gun storage bill requiring firearms to be secured when minors are present. The bill, which had failed to advance in the 2024 session held just weeks after the Apalachee shooting, remained active under Georgia's two-year legislative cycle.
