Epstein Files Transparency Act signed into law, Public Law 119-38

President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act (Public Law 119-38) into law, one day after the House passed it 427–1. The law required the Attorney General to release all DOJ and FBI records related to Epstein in a searchable, downloadable format within 30 days, by Dec. 19, 2025. It prohibited redacting documents on grounds of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity to any official or public figure. The Senate passed the bill by unanimous consent on Nov. 19 before Trump signed it the same day.
