Federal authorities arrested Christopher Ray Grider, then 39, of Chilton, Texas, in a Jan. 6 Capitol breach case. The case involved civil disorder, obstruction, destruction of government property, entering restricted grounds, and physical violence in restricted grounds. NPR records that Grider pleaded guilty to two counts, was found guilty at a bench trial on seven remaining counts, was sentenced on May 24, 2023 to 83 months in prison, and later received a full pardon on January 20, 2025.
