OSC documents systemic Hatch Act violations by 13 senior Trump officials

The Office of Special Counsel released a report in 2020 documenting Hatch Act violations by 13 senior Trump administration officials who used official platforms for partisan political activity. Violators included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who gave a Republican National Convention speech from Jerusalem, and acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf, who conducted a naturalization ceremony as RNC programming. OSC concluded that Trump's refusal to discipline violators produced "seeming impunity" for partisan conduct by executive branch officials.
