New York court enters $364M civil fraud judgment against Trump and Trump Organization

New York Judge Arthur Engoron entered a judgment of approximately $364 million -- including pre-judgment interest -- against Donald Trump, the Trump Organization, and several Trump sons on February 16, 2024, finding a decade-long pattern of knowingly false financial statements used to obtain favorable bank loans and insurance rates. Attorney General Letitia James had brought the case under New York Executive Law Section 63(12). The judgment also banned Trump and his sons from leading New York corporations for varying periods.
