Trump attorney Evan Corcoran signs false certification that all classified documents were returned

On June 3, 2022, a Trump attorney signed and transmitted to DOJ a written certification stating that all classified records subpoenaed from Mar-a-Lago had been returned. The certification was false -- classified documents remained at the property. The federal indictment alleged the false certification constituted obstruction of justice. FBI agents executing the August 2022 search warrant subsequently recovered over 100 classified documents that the certification should have covered.
