Trump aide Walt Nauta allegedly asks staff to delete Mar-a-Lago surveillance footage after subpoena
The federal classified documents indictment alleged that in late June and July 2022, after DOJ issued a subpoena for security camera footage at Mar-a-Lago, Trump aide Carlos de Oliveira asked the property's IT director to delete the footage. The IT director reported the request to a Trump attorney rather than complying. The alleged deletion attempt added an evidence-tampering count to the indictment and formed part of the obstruction case against both de Oliveira and Trump.
