WEF Global Risks Report Warns of Most Divided Era Since Cold War
The World Economic Forum released its 2025 Global Risks Report at Davos, warning that geopolitical fragmentation had reached its worst point since the Cold War. The report identified state-based armed conflict, misinformation, extreme weather, and democratic backsliding as the top five risks over a two-year horizon. WEF analysts warned that the fracturing of international institutions and trade alliances was accelerating faster than any post-1989 period.
