DOJ Main Justice orders Miami prosecutors to stand down on Delcy Rodriguez criminal probe
Senior officials at DOJ Main Justice in Washington formally directed federal prosecutors in the Southern District of Florida to close their active criminal investigation of Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez and not to seek an indictment. The order came through the DOJ's National Security Division and was delivered to the Miami U.S. Attorney's office in writing. Prosecutors who had worked the case for eight years were told the matter was being resolved at the diplomatic level.
