Judge Hears Challenge to Lindsey Halligan's Appointment as U.S. Attorney in Comey and James Cases

Halligan signed the indictments of both James Comey and Letitia James. Their attorneys argued her 120-day appointment had expired, rendering her a private citizen when she acted before grand juries. The judge appeared skeptical and later ruled Halligan was unlawfully appointed, dismissing both cases.
