Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen serves as the Delegate from American Samoa to the U.S. House of Representatives. Born December 29, 1947, in Pago Pago, she is the daughter of Peter Tali Coleman, the first popularly elected governor of American Samoa. She holds the Samoan talking chief title of Aumua. First elected in 2014 by defeating incumbent Eni Faleomavaega, she became the first woman and first Republican to represent American Samoa in Congress. She won her fifth term in November 2024 with 74.8% of the vote. Before Congress, she worked as chief diplomatic correspondent for the Washington Pacific Report (1984-1997), as scheduling director for Rep. Philip Crane (R-IL), and served on the House Republican Conference staff. She serves on the committees on Natural Resources, Foreign Affairs, and Veterans' Affairs.
