Monica De La Cruz, born November 11, 1974, in Brownsville, Texas, is the U.S. Representative for Texas's 15th Congressional District. First elected in 2022, she became the first Hispanic Republican woman to represent Texas in Congress and the first Republican to win TX-15, a historically Democratic South Texas district. Before Congress, she ran an insurance agency and small businesses in the Rio Grande Valley for over 20 years, earning a national President's Club award as one of the top 50 agents in the country. She serves on the House Agriculture and Financial Services Committees.
