The House of Representatives passed a veterans funding bill 218 to 206, with nearly all Republican members voting in favor and nearly all Democrats voting against. The bill appropriated funds for VA healthcare and benefits programs. Democrats objected to provisions they said cut long-term benefit guarantees, while Republicans said the measure streamlined delivery of services to veterans.
