Donald Gene Davis (born August 29, 1971) is a U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 1st Congressional District, serving since 2023. A Democrat, Davis is a former U.S. Air Force captain who coordinated Air Force One operations at Joint Base Andrews. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy (B.S., 1994), earned a master's from Central Michigan University, and completed an M.A. in Sociology and a Doctorate in Education at East Carolina University. Before Congress, Davis served as mayor of Snow Hill, NC, taught at East Carolina University for over two decades, and represented NC Senate District 5 (2009-2011, 2013-2023). He serves on the House Agriculture Committee (Ranking Member, Subcommittee on Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development) and the Armed Services Committee (Vice Ranking Member). Davis is a Presbyterian lay minister.
