Gus Bilirakis represents Florida's 12th Congressional District as a Republican, first winning election in 2006 and taking office in January 2007. He chairs the Innovation, Data, and Commerce Subcommittee on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he focuses on consumer data privacy, children's online safety, and American manufacturing. Before Congress, Bilirakis served eight years in the Florida House of Representatives and practiced probate and estate planning law.
