Joyce Beatty has represented Ohio's 3rd Congressional District since 2013, making her one of the longest-serving members of the state's delegation. Before winning her congressional seat, she served nine years in the Ohio House of Representatives — including a historic stint as the first female Democratic House leader in Ohio — and worked as Senior Vice President at Ohio State University. She chairs the Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation Caucus, led the Congressional Black Caucus from 2021 to 2023, and focuses her legislative work on affordable housing and consumer financial protection.
