Shontel Brown has represented Ohio's 11th Congressional District since November 2021, when she won a special election to replace Marcia Fudge after Fudge became HUD Secretary under President Biden. Brown serves as Vice Ranking Member on the House Agriculture Committee and sits on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee in the 119th Congress. Before Congress, she served on the Cuyahoga County Council and made history as the first woman and first African American to chair the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party.
