Rocket docket immigration courts deport within 72 hours of arrest

On Feb. 5, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security launched “rocket docket” immigration courts to complete removal proceedings within 72 hours of arrest (EOIR final rule).

§1240.15(b) of the DOJ rule requires that fast-track docket hearings conclude within 15 calendar days of the issuance of the Notice to Appear (Fed. Reg., 2025-02110).

AOUSC guidance under the pilot caps reimbursable pro-bono legal representation at eight hours per case (USCourts).
