Marine veteran breaks arm during Senate protest over Iran war
Former Marine Brian McGinnis injured after Republican senator helps police remove him from Armed Services Committee hearing

Brian McGinnis, a 44-year-old Marine Corps veteran (2000–2004) and Green Party U.S. Senate candidate from North Carolina, disrupted a Senate Armed Services Subcommittee hearing on March 4, 2026, shouting opposition to the Iran war. NBC News
Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT), a former Navy SEAL, left his committee seat and physically assisted Capitol Police in removing McGinnis from the hearing room. CBS News
