Israeli Strike in Doha Kills Hamas Negotiators and Qatari Officer

An Israeli airstrike in Doha, Qatar on September 9, 2025 killed senior Hamas negotiators who had been participating in ceasefire talks mediated by Qatar and Egypt. A Qatari security officer was also killed in the strike. Qatar suspended its mediation role immediately and summoned the Israeli ambassador; the strike effectively collapsed the ongoing hostage negotiation framework that had been brokered with U.S. participation.
