Trump appoints John Bolton as National Security Advisor

Trump named Bolton, who had publicly called for total JCPOA withdrawal and regime change in Iran, as National Security Advisor effective April 9. Combined with Pompeo's nomination, this installed what the New York Times called "the most radically aggressive foreign policy team around the American president in recent memory."
